ईर्ष्या कलहमूलं स्यात् क्षमामूलं हि संपदाम् |
ईर्ष्यादोषाद्विप्रशापमवाप जनमेजय:
||
ఈర్ష్యా కలహమూలం స్యాత్ క్షమా మూలం హి సంపదా౦
ఈర్ష్యాదోషాద్విప్ర శాపమవాప జనమేజయ:
ईर्ष्या = jealousy అసూయ
कलहमूलं = is the root
cause of enmity కలహమునకు కారణము
स्यात् = అగును
क्षमा = Patience సహనము
संपदाम् = of riches సంపదలకు
मूलं हि = root cause
indeed కారణము కదా!
जनमेजय:= = The king Janamejaya జనమేజయుడు
ईर्ष्या दोषात् = because of jealousy
అసూయ వలన
विप्रशापं= curse of a brahmin. బ్రాహ్మణ శాపమును
अवाप= received పొందెను
Jealousy is the root cause of enmity. Patience is the
root cause of riches. King Janamejaya was cursed by a Brahmin due to jealousy
alone.
