एकदा कश्चन बालक:
पाठशालामालस्येन गतवान् || उपाध्याय: तस्य आलस्यस्य कारणं पृष्ठवान् ? बालक:
उक्तवान् यत् तस्य मातापितरौ परस्परं विवादं कुर्वन्तौ स्त: इति || उपाध्याय: पुन:
पृष्ठवान् यत् तयो: विवादस्य तव आलस्यस्य मध्ये क: संबन्ध: इति || तदा बालक: विना संकोचम् उक्तवान् – मम एका पादरक्षा
पितु: हस्ते अस्ति अपर: मातु: हस्ते अस्ति – इति ||
Once, a
boy was late to his school. Teacher asked him the explanation for his delay. “Sir, My mother
and father disputed each other” answered the boy. What is the link between
their dispute and your late arrival? The teacher enquired. Sir, one of my slippers was in the hand of my mother while
the other is in my father’s hand.
ఒకసారి ఒక కుర్రవాడు స్కూలుకి కొంచెం ఆలస్యంగా వెళ్ళాడు. టీచర్
అడిగాడు ఎరా! ఎందుకు ఆలస్యంగా వచ్చావని . సార్, మా అమ్మా,నాన్న ఇద్దరు దెబ్బలాడుకుంటున్నారు, అందుకాలస్యమై౦దండి
అన్నాడు. నీ దుంప తెగ .మీ అమ్మా - నాన్న
దెబ్బలాడుకోడానికి నువ్వాలస్యంగా రాడానికి ఏం సంబంధం ? అన్నాడు టీచర్. నా
చెప్పొకటి మా అమ్మ చేతిలోనూ రెండోది మానాన్న చేతిలోనూ ఉండిపోయాయి సార్! అన్నాడు అమాయకంగా .
