अच्छति रन्ने सेले वि
अच्छते दढ तपं
तपन्तो वि |
ताव न लभेय्य मु:कं
याव न विषयान तूरातो
( पैशाचीप्राकृतम्- –हेमचन्द्रस्य
कुमारपालचरितम् )
One may live in forests. One
may live in mountains and perform severe penance. But he can
not attain liberation as long as he is not free from sensual pleasures.
అచ్ఛతి రన్నే సేలే
వి
అచ్ఛతే దఢ తపం తపంతో వి
తావ న లభేయ్య ము:కం
యావ న విషయాన తూరాతో
( పైశాచీప్రాకృతం-హేమచంద్రుని కుమారపాలచరితం)
మానవుడు అరణ్యాలలో నివసించవచ్చు. పర్వతాలలో
సంచరించవచ్చు. తీ వ్రo గా తపస్సు
చెయ్యవచ్చు. కాని ఎంతవరకు ఇంద్రియ సుఖాల
పట్ల విరక్తి పొoదడో అంతవరకు అతనికి ముక్తి లభిoచదు.
