पठति(paThati)--पठत:(paThatah)--पठन्ति (pathanti)
पठसि (pathasi)--पठथ:(paThathah)पठथ (paThatah)
पठामि (paThaami)--पठाव: (paThaavah)--पठाम:(paThaamah)

(स: / सा) पठति (he/she is reading)
(तौ)      पठत: (they two are reading)
(ते)      पठन्ति (they all are reading)
(त्वं) पठसि (you are reading)
   (युवां) पठथ: ( you two are reading
   (यूयं ) पठथ (you all are reading)
                             (अहं) पठामि (I am reading)
         (आवां) पठाव: (we two are reading)
(वयं)  पठाम: (we all are reading

SOME IMPORTANT VERBS
n      पठति (pathati) reading
n      बालक: पठति = A boy is reading.
n      लिखति  (likhati) writing
n      बालिका लिखति = A girl is writing
n      क्रीडति  (kreeDati) playing
n      क्रीडाकार: क्रीडति = A sportsman is playing
n      गच्छति  (gacchati) going
n      पुरुष: गच्छति =  A man is  going
n      आगच्छति  (aagacchati) coming
n      महिला आगच्छति = A woman is coming
n      खादति  (khaadati) eating
n      स: खादति = He is eating
n      पिबति  (pibati) drinking
n      सा पिबति = She is drinking
n      आह्वयति ( aahvayati) calling or inviting
n      पिता आह्वयति = Father is inviting
n      प्रेषयति  (preshayati ) sending
n      माता  प्रेषयति  = Mother is sending
n      पृच्छति  (pRicchati) asking
n      उपाध्याय: पृच्छति  =  Teacher is asking
n      नयति (nayati) taking
n      बालक: नयति = Boy is taking

n       चुम्बति ( chumbati) kissing      
n       माता चुम्बति =  mother is kissing       
n       रोदिति (roditi ) weeping
n       शिशु: रोदिति = child is weeping.
n      The unique feature of Sanskrit Language is that it has more than2000 verbal roots and each verbal root gives raise to hundreds of verbal derivations.

                                SANSKRIT SLOKA -3

हस्तस्य भूषणं दानं
             सत्यं कण्ठस्य भूषणम्
                      श्रोत्रस्य भूषणं शास्त्रं
                                   भूषणै: किं प्रयोजनम् ?
Hastasya bhushaNaM daanam
               Satyam kanThasya bhushaNam
Shrotrasya bhushaNam shaastram
               BhuhaNaih kim prayojanam?

n      The ornament of hand is charity. The ornament of neck/throat is truth (speaking truth). The ornament of ears is listening to Sastras (acquisition of knowledge). Mere ornaments are of no use.
