న శోభతే సభామధ్యే

హంసమధ్యే బకో యథా

తన పిల్లల్ని చదివించని తల్లి, తల్లి కాదు శత్రువు. అలాగే తండ్రి కూడ తండ్రి కాడు వాడూ శత్రువే. ఎందుకంటే చదువులేనివాడు హంసల మధ్య కొంగ వలె పండితుల మధ్య ప్రకాశించడు. కాబట్టి తమ పిల్లల్ని చదివించడం తల్లిదండ్రుల కనీస కర్తవ్యం

न शॊभतॆ सभामध्यॆ

हंसमध्यॆ बको यथा ||

The mother is an enemy and the father is a foe by whom their children are not educated. Because, a person without education does not shine, in the assembly of scholars like a crane in the midst of swans. So it is the bounden duty and sublime obligation of parents to educate their children.
