माता गुरुतरा भूमे:
पिता चोच्चतरश्च खात्
मन: शीघ्रतरं वायो:
चिन्ता बहुतरा तृणात् ( Mahabharatam )
The Mother is more respectable (greater) than
the earth.
The
father is mightier (higher) than the sky
The
mind is racier (fleeter) than the wind.
Worry
is more dangerous than straw.
Because straw burns man externally where as mental agony buns man internally
also.
మాతా గురుతరా భూమే:
పితా చోచ్చతరశ్చ ఖాత్
మన: శీఘ్రతరం వాయో:
చింతా బహుతరా తృణాత్
తల్లి భూమికన్నా
బరువైనది (గొప్పది). తండ్రి ఆకాశం కన్నా ఉన్నతుడు. మనస్సు గాలికన్నా వేగం కలది. చింత గడ్డి కన్నా అధికమైనది. గడ్డి ఒక వేళ
అంటుకుంటే మనిషిని బాహ్యంగా
దహిస్తుంది. తొలగించుకోవడం చాల సులభం. ఇక చింత మనిషిని లోలోపల ఎప్పుడు దహిస్తూనే ఉంటుంది. దాన్ని నివారించడం
చాలకష్టం
