య: ప్రీణయేత్సుచరితై: పితరం స పుత్ర:

యద్భర్తురేవ  హితమిచ్ఛతి తత్కళత్రం

తన్మిత్రమాపది సుఖే చ సమక్రియం య                

దేతత్రయం జగతి పుణ్యకృతో లభంతే ( భర్తృహరి)

ఎవడు తన మంచి నడవడికచే తల్లిదండ్రులను  సంతోషపెట్టునో వాడే నిజమైన పుత్రుడు. ఎవతె ఎల్లప్పుడు తన భర్త హితమునే కోరునో ఆమెయే నిజమైన భార్య. ఎవడు కష్టములయందు సుఖములయందు ఒకే విధముగా ప్రవర్తించునో అతడే అసలు సిసలైన మిత్రుడు. లోకంలో ఈ ముగ్గురిని  ఎంతో పుణ్యాత్ములు మాత్రమే పొందగలుగుతున్నారు.   

य: प्रीणयेत्सुचरितै : पितरं स पुत्र:

यद्भर्तुरेव हितमिच्छति तत्कलत्रम्

तन्मित्रमापदि सुखे च समक्रियं य

देतत्त्रयं जगति पुण्यकृतो लभन्ते ( भर्तृहरि:) 

He is the real son who pleases his parents with his noble character.  She is the real wife who wishes the welfare of her husband always.  He is the friend who behaves equally in happiness and adversity.  And the blessed people alone will get these three.
