न्नित्यं पादाभिवन्दनात्  ( A parody cum satire authored by Prof:- P. SriRamachandrudu)

   

“I don’t know the syllabus and I don’t know how to teach. I know only the officers of high positions since I would fall at their feet every day”. These are the characteristics of some pseudo teachers of the present age, who always roam around the desks of the higher authorities to gain cheap popularity without discharging theirs duties in the class room.

న్నిత్యం పాదాభివందనాత్ ( ఆచార్య పి. శ్రీరామచంద్రుడు గారి కవిత)  

“ నాకు పాఠ్యాoశాలేమిటో అసలు తెలియదు. పాఠాలు ఎలా చెప్పాలో కూడ అసలు తెలియదు. నాకు అధికారహూదాలో ఉన్న వ్యక్తులు మాత్రం  తెలుసు. ఎందుకంటే నేను ప్రతిరోజు వాళ్ళ పాదాలకు నమస్కారం చేస్తూ ఉంటాను”. క్లాసులో ఎటువంటి పాఠాలు బోధిoచ కుండ విద్యాశాఖాధికారుల చుట్టూ తిరుగుతూ వారికి వంగి వంగి నమస్కారాలు చేసే కొoత మంది కుహనా ఉపాధ్యాయుల లక్షణాలు ఈ విధంగా ఉంటాయి. వారు విద్యావిషయంలో ఎటువంటి పరిశ్రమ చెయ్యకుండ పట్టు పరిశ్రమతోనే (వాళ్ళ కాళ్ళు వీళ్ళ కాళ్ళు పట్టుకోవడo)  సమాజంలో చెలామణి ఐపోతూ ఉంటారు.

A Devotee should not neglect worldly duties while performing devotional practices. He should discharge both worldly duties and devotional practices simultaneously as explained here under.

               पुङ्खानुपुङ्खविषयानुपसेव्यमान:

       धीरो न मुञ्चति मुकुन्दपदारविन्दम्|

       सङ्गीतवाद्यकलितानवसङ्गतापि

       मौलिस्थकुम्भपरिरक्षणधीर्नटीव ||

Just as a dancing girl fixes her attention on the water pot she bares on her head even when she is dancing to various tunes, so also a truly pious man does not give up his attention to the blissful feet of the supreme lord even when he attends   to his many concerns. పుంఖానుపుంఖవిషయానుపసేవ్యమాన:

ధీరో న ముంచతి ముకుందపదారవిందం

సంగీతవాద్యకలితానవసంగతాపి

మౌళిస్థకుంభపరిరక్షణధీర్నటీవ   

ఏ విధంగా తలపై కుండను ధరించి నాట్యం చేసే నర్తకి చుట్టూ ఉన్న వాద్యకారుల సంగీత విన్యాసాలకనుగుణoగా అనేక నాట్య విన్యాసాలు చేస్తున్నప్పటికీ తన    తలమీదున్న కుండ పైనే దృష్టి  నిలుపుతుoదో అదే విధంగా భక్తుడు తానెన్ని ప్రాపంచిక కార్యాల్లో నిమగ్నమైయున్నా తన మనస్సును భగవంతుని పాదపద్మాలపైనే లగ్నం చేస్తాడు. కాబట్టి కర్తవ్యాన్ని నిర్లక్ష్యం చేసి దైవకార్యాలు నిర్వర్తించడం ఉత్తమభక్తుని లక్షణం కాదు. తన కర్తవ్యాన్ని సక్రమంగా నిర్వర్తిస్తూనే భగవంతుని ధ్యానించేవాడు నిజమైన భక్తుడు.

देहाबुध्या तु दासोsहं

जीवबुध्या त्वदंशक:

आत्मबुध्या त्वमेवाsहं

इति मे निश्चया मति:     

From the stand point of my body I am your servant. As a finite individual

I am your part. But as my true nature (Sat, Chit and Ananda), we both are one .This is my strong conviction.

దేహబుధ్యా తు దాసోsహం

జీవబుధ్యా త్వదంశక:

ఆత్మబుధ్యా త్వమేవాsహం

ఇతి మే నిశ్చయా మతి: 

దేహబుద్ధితో ఆలోచిస్తే ( నేను కేవలం శరీరమే అనుకుంటే) నేను నీ దాసుడను . జీవబుద్ధితో చూస్తే ( నేను కేవలం పరిమితమైన జీవుడను ) నేను నీ యొక్క అంశను మాత్రమే. ఇక ఆత్మబుద్ధితో ఆలోచిస్తే నీవు సచ్చిదానందస్వరూపమే. నేను కూడ సచ్చిదానంద స్వరూపుడనే. మన ఇరువురకు ఎటువంటి భేదం లేదు.  ఇదే నా నిశ్చితమైన అభిప్రాయము.

काव्यशास्त्रविनोदेन

कालो गच्छति धीमताम् |

व्यसनेन च  मूर्खाणां

निद्रया  कलहेन वा  ||

Intellectuals spend their time in diving in to the depths of literature and sastras. Foolish people on the other hand spend their time in either vices like gambling, drinking etc or through too much of sleep or engaged in quarreling with others.

                                               

కావ్యశాస్త్రవినోదేన

 కాలో గచ్ఛతి ధీమతాం

వ్యసనేన చ  మూర్ఖాణాo

నిద్రయా కలహేన వా  

లోకoలో బుద్ధిమంతులు కావ్యాలు,  శాస్త్రాలు చదువుతూ వాటి మాధుర్యాన్ని ఆస్వాదిస్తూ  ఆనoదoగ  కాలం గడుపుతారు. మూర్ఖులు మాత్రం దుర్వ్యసనాలతోను, నిద్రతోను,ఇతరులతో కలహిస్తూను కాలం గడుపుతారు.

वाच्यतां समयोsतीत:

 स्पष्टमग्रे  भविष्यति

इति पाठयतां ग्रन्थे

काठिन्यं कुत्र वर्तते ? ( नीलकण्ठदीक्षितस्य--कलिविडम्बनम्)

 

                                                                              “Read quickly. Time is over. Even if you don’t understand this now, it will be understood to you in course of time”. Where is the difficulty in teaching to those teachers by whom this method of teaching is adopted? These are the characteristics of some pseudo teachers, who simply make the students read the text without giving any explanation. .

వాచ్యతాం సమయోsతీత:

 స్పష్టమగ్రే భవిష్యతి

ఇతి పాఠయతాం గ్రంథే

 కాఠిన్యం  కుత్ర వర్తతే ? ( నీలకంఠదీక్షితుల కలివిడంబనం)

“ చదువు. సమయం దాటిపోతోంది . ఒకవేళ నీకు ఇప్పుడు అర్థం కాక పోయిన ముందు ముందు తప్పక అర్థం అవుతుంది”   అని ఈ విధంగా ఎటువంటి అర్థం వివరిoచకుండా పాఠాలు చదివించే కుహనా ఉపాధ్యాయులకు ఎక్కడ, ఎప్పుడు, ఎటువంటి  కష్టం ఉండదు. ఏ విషయాన్నైనా బోధించగలరు. ఎవరికైనా బోధిoచ గలరు. ఎప్పుడైనా బోధించగలరు.

किमाटोपै: प्रयोजनम् ?

विक्रीयन्ते न घण्टाभि:

गाव: क्षीरविवर्जिता:  (महाभारतम्)

Try to improve your qualities and abilities. What is the use of mere show? There is absolutely no use of mere outward appearance. Cattle, which do not yield milk, can not be sold by simply exhibiting the bells that are tied to their neck.

కిమాటోపై: ప్రయోజనం?                                                         

విక్రీయంతే న ఘoటాభి:

గావ: క్షీరవివర్జితా: (మహాభారతo )

నీవు నీ గుణగణాలను పెoపొందించుకోడానికి ప్రయత్నం చెయ్యి. దాని వలన ప్రయోజనం ఉంటుoది గాని కేవలం బాహ్యమైన ఆడంబరాల వలన ఏమి ప్రయోజనం ఉండదు. సంతలో ఆవులను అమ్మేవాళ్ళు  వట్టిపోయిన ఆవుల్ని వాటి మెడలో కట్టిన  గంటల్ని చూపించి అమ్మలేరు కదా !

यावद्भियेत जठरं

तावत्स्वं खलु देहिनां

अधिकं योSभिमन्येत

स स्तेनो दण्डमर्हति ( भागवतपुराणम्)

One has to acquire that much of wealth which is enough for him to maintain his family. If one seeks to hoard money beyond limits he must be considered to be a thief and he deserves punishment.

యావద్భ్రియేతజఠరం

 తావత్స్వం ఖలు దేహినాం

అధికం యో భిమన్యేత

 స స్తేనో దండమర్హతి    

మానవుడు తనకు తన కుటుంబపోషణకు ఎంత డబ్బు  అవసరమో అంతే  సంపాదిoచాలి. ఒకవేళ దురాశతో అంతకంటే ఎక్కువ సంపాదిస్తే అతడు దొoగతో సమానం. అతడుశిక్షా ర్హుడు.

एकं वस्तु द्विधा कर्तुं

बहव: सन्ति धन्विन:

पुष्पधन्वा विजयते

द्वयोरैक्यं करोति य: :

There are many archers in the world that can make (split) one object into two. But Manmatha, (Cupid) the God of love is really victorious who makes (unites) two persons as one with his arrow like flowers.

ఏకం వస్తు ద్విధా కర్తుం

 బహవస్సంతి ధన్విన:

పుష్పధన్వా విజయతే

 ద్వయోరైక్యం కరోతి  య:  .

ఈ లోకంలో ఒక వస్తువును రెండుగా చీల్చగల విలుకాండ్రెంతమందో ఉన్నారు. కాని ఇద్దర్ని ఒకటిగా చేయగల పూవిలుకాడైన  ఆ మన్మథుడు  అందరికంటే చాల గొప్పవాడు . ఆయనకు జయముకలుగుగాక

माता गुरुतरा भूमे:

पिता चोच्चतरश्च खात्

मन: शीघ्रतरं वायो:

चिन्ता बहुतरा तृणात् ( Mahabharatam )

 The Mother is more respectable (greater) than the earth.

The father is mightier (higher) than the sky

The mind is racier (fleeter) than the wind.

Worry is more dangerous than straw. Because straw burns man externally where as mental agony buns man internally also.

మాతా గురుతరా భూమే:

పితా చోచ్చతరశ్చ ఖాత్

మన: శీఘ్రతరం వాయో:

చింతా బహుతరా తృణాత్

 తల్లి భూమికన్నా బరువైనది (గొప్పది). తండ్రి ఆకాశం కన్నా ఉన్నతుడు. మనస్సు గాలికన్నా వేగం కలది. చింత గడ్డి కన్నా అధికమైనది. గడ్డి ఒక వేళ  అంటుకుంటే   మనిషిని బాహ్యంగా దహిస్తుంది. తొలగించుకోవడం చాల సులభం. ఇక చింత మనిషిని లోలోపల  ఎప్పుడు దహిస్తూనే ఉంటుంది. దాన్ని నివారించడం చాలకష్టం

आपन्नोऽपि हि सुजन: सुजन:

हीनस्तु विपदि कीदृक् स्यात् ?

भिन्नोSपि कनककलश:कनक:

भिन्नस्तु मृद्घट: कीदृक्?

A good man always remains to be good even in adversities. How can he become a wicked man? A golden pot remains to be gold even if it is broken and it will not turn to be an earthen pot simply because of its breaches.

హీనస్తు విపది కీదృక్స్యాత్

భిన్నోs పి కనకకలశ: కనక:

 భిన్నస్తు మృద్ఘట: కీదృక్?

సజ్జనుడు, తనకు ఎన్ని కష్టాలు ఎదురైనా సజ్జనుడు గానే ఉంటాడు గాని చెడ్డవాడుగా మారడు. అది నిజమే బంగారు కుండ విరిగిపోయినా బంగారుకుoడగానే

ఉoడిపోతుంది గాని  పగిలిపోయినంత మాత్రాన మట్టికుoడగా మారిపోదు కదా!.

मृत्यो: बिभॆषि किं मूढ ! भीतं मुञ्चति वै यम: |

अजातं नैव गृह्णाति कुरु यत्नमजन्मनि ||

(Mrutyorbibheshi kim mudha

 bhitam munchati vai Yamah

Ajatam naiva grhnati

 kuru yatnamajanmani)

Oh fool! Why are you afraid of death? Do you think that Yama, the God of death will spare you even if you are afraid?  But it is certain that he will not catch hold of an unborn. Therefore, try not to be born again in this world.  Study the Upanishads which will protect you from the cycle of birth and death.

మృత్యో : బిభేషి కిo మూఢ? భీతo  ముంచతి వై యమ:

అజాతం నైవ గృహ్ణాతి కురు యత్నమజన్మని 

ఓ మూఢమానవా! నువ్వు చావుకెందుకు భయపడుతున్నావు? ఒకవేళ నువ్వు భయపడినంత మాత్రాన నిన్ను యముడు విడిచిపెడతాడనుకుoటున్నావా! విడిచి పెట్టే ప్రసక్తి లేదు. ఒక్క విషయం గుర్తు పెట్టుకో . పుట్టని వాణ్ణి ఆ యముడు ఏమి చెయ్యలేడు. అందువల్ల పుట్టకుండా ఉండే ప్రయత్నం చెయ్యి . కాబట్టి జన్మ మరణచక్రం నుంచి నిన్ను తప్పించి రక్షించగల ఉపనిషత్తులు చదువుకో.
